Dunnottar Castle, 1998:
We hit Dunnottar on a greyish day, but we found that the dreary lighting only complimented our pictures
upon returning to Canada and developing them. Scotland is a country of unbelievable colour, and I think
that this picture is a good representation of that colour.
Before Erin and I travelled to Scotland we watched
Mel Gibson's Braveheart, oh, only about 22 times. This lead to the afternoon at Dunnottar full of quibs like
"the trouble with Scotland..." (watch the movie, you'll know the line), all in our fake, adopted, Scottish accents.
I think we would have stayed at this particular castle all day if it weren't for two facts: the final bus left at
4:00 (or thereabouts), and I had to piss worse than I can ever remember having to piss..
