Resolute Bay, Nunavut Photo Gallery #3:

Warning: the following pictures graphically depict a Beluga whale hunt I witnessed in September of 2002. Whilst these pictures represent a very real part of every day life in Nunavut, some people may not wish to view it pictorally.

Note from me: Resolute Bay, the community at the top of the world, is Canada's second most northernly permanently inhabitated community, sitting thousands of miles from what many people would consider "civilization". Those expecting a place cut off from the rest of the world are in for a surprise, however, as Resolute, despite its geographical non-proximity to Canada's large cities, is a thriving community with all the amenities of a slightly more Southern locale.

One of the best things about making a website is knowing that people are actually looking at it. Please, let me know you were here by signing my guestbook or by even sending me an e-mail.

Love any of these pictures that you simply must have one at any price? I actually have a commercial photography site aptly named Arctic Photography, which contains ordering information and hiring details for those of you venturing to Resolute Bay.
